The last book I read was a Bluford Series, “Until We Meet
Again”, by Anne Schraff.
Chapter three talks about how Darcy finally decided to call
Hakeem after so many days of not hearing from him. She found out he’s not him
usual self and is stressing about. Her father gives her some advice. Darcy saw
Hakeem at school the following day and they talked but the outcome was…not so
good. For the first Darcy had seen that side of Hakeem. He was rather
unemotional and she felt she had been cheated for all the circumstances. Darcy
finds comfort in her best friend, Tarah. Brisana, one of Darcy’s friends is
starting a rumor about Darcy skipping from Hakeem to Brian Mason, but
unfortunately she doesn’t know Darcy was babysitting for Brian’s sister. Darcy
finds it strange that Brian Mason gave her a rose. Could this mean he likes her
or he’s just trying to be nice?
Chapter four talks about how Darcy Lisselle’s reaction when
she saw the rose from her brother, Brian. Darcy wondered why she was so perky
but she didn’t pay much attention to her. Darcy is worried about her grandma’s health
and her dad announces her mother’s promotion at work. Darcy talks to Hakeem
again but it’s the same thing over again. She felt depressed. Darcy wondered
why Liselle had been so interested in her personal life.
Personal Reaction: The Bluford series are good books. They
grab my attention and the suspense created is great I can feel my blood
pounding. However, I think Darcy shouldn’t stress herself over Hakeem..I mean
he’s her boyfriend and all and he’s going through a lot but she should give him
some space. Not act like she doesn’t care but let him come around. Also, she
better be careful of Brian...that rose means something.. I can’t wait to read
more books from Bluford…They’re so great!
