The last book I read was by Anne Schraff, “Until We Meet
Again”, a Bluford Series.
Chapter 7 talks about Darcy and Brian got closer with the
fact that he randomly asked her out to the park one day. Even though Darcy
liked Brain, she was rather uncomfortable and nervous at times. After a long
day at the park, the story also tells that Darcy went o Brian’s house to relax
and upon arriving home, she saw an ambulance leaving. Thoughts ran through her
head… ‘What could have possibly happened? Mama? Dad? Is it grandma or Jamee?’
Chapter 8 tells how Darcy felt guilt and nervous when her
grandma was taken to the hospital. She felt it was all her fault because she
hadn’t time to spare and spend with grandma.
Darcy is invited to the Mason’s for dinner but lies to her father about
where she is going. Darcy’s actions revealed to her younger sister, Jamee, who
wonders what’s been going on with Darcy; she has never acted that way before.
Maybe she was catching feelings for Brian and began to lie about it? Or maybe
not? Brian reveals his secret crush for Darcy and the dinner turns intimately
to sex! Darcy found herself in a situation she has never been in before and
this lead to awful things.
My reaction to this story is that Darcy should have never
went any further with Brian. She should have kept it at hello and that’s it.
Now things are going to get worse because what? He tried to have sex with her
and she didn’t like it? Or was he hurting her physically by gripping onto her?
We’ll find out.
I believe the author’s intent is to entertain the readers
because these stories keep getting better and sweeter! They are great reads!
The organizational pattern is Compare and Contrast and Cause
and Effect.
